Jennifer Heron, Oil Painter

I have always loved painting. Although I minored in painting at SCAD, I focused on digital art and worked in the corporate world after college. After ten years of this, it was time to go back to my first love.

The most important things in life are people, so that’s what I want to paint. People, their stories, things that make them special, and those quiet moments where you see their life for what it is. It’s even better if this can inspire conversation or a newfound empathy for others. I take influences from the Southern Gothic, Impressionism, and Folk Art.
